826 Seattle Tee-Shirt Redesign Contest!
If you have been in the Store recently, you may have noticed the 826 Seattle tee-shirts are looking a little thin. We’ve had it in our heads for quite awhile that we need an updated, fresh design. We’ve had R&D meetings, focus groups, questionnaires, inquiries, and, quite frankly, we can’t wrap our heads around it.
We appeal to you, our friends, our fans, our volunteers. We need your help!
Introducing the first ever “Redesign the 826 Seattle Tee-Shirt Contest”!
Contest you say? All contests have rules and the rules for this contest are as follows:
- The contest is open to designers and artists ages eighteen and above. You needn’t be a highly skilled Adobe Illustrator wiz.
- The design:
- Must incorporate the words "826 Seattle"
- May incorporate the 826 Seattle logo
- May incorporate the phrase “Don’t Forget To Write.”
- May incorporate the phrase "Because in our culture the ability to express oneself effectively in writing opens large doors."
- The maximum size of the design is 10” x 10”, but it should be easily scalable to fit on a small child’s shirt.
- The maximum number of colors is two. The design should be easily reversed as to print on dark or light colored shirts.
- The design will be printed on the front of the tee-shirt. The back of the tee-shirt will have the 826 Seattle logo and the phrase “Don’t Forget To Write.”
- 826 Seattle may make minor adjustments to your design to increase readability.
To enter :
- Download all necessary logos and tee-shirt templates.
- Send a jpeg/gif of your design to justinallan@826seattle.org no later than May 15. If you are a finalist, we will ask for a high resolution or a vector version of the artwork.
- Winners will be announced on June 2nd.
The winner will receive:
- Your design will be put into production and sold at the Greenwood Space Travel Supply Store!
- Your picture and bio will appear on a tag attached to the tee-shirt. Not only will people be wearing your fancy design, they will see your mug and learn all sorts of interesting facts about you!
- You will receive not one, not two, but three tee-shirts with your fancy design – enough to share with you friends and family!
- Our everlasting love and devotion!
The winning design will be chosen by 826 Seattle staff.
