Join us for one of our favorite holidays: Pi Day, where we celebrate the mathematical constant that is so ubiquitous and so remarkably helpful it’s easy to take for granted.

If you’d rather just come for the good times, or want to protest by bringing something else, that’s okay! We don’t really care! We just want you there! You can also bring friends, family, neighbors, and sweethearts.

	In sum:

The International Astronomical Union may have revoked it's planetary status in 2006, but we continue to celebrate our favorite little underdog.

Join us on SATURDAY, MARCH 16 for a Pluto Day Celebration from 3:00PM - 5:00PM!

At 3:00PM we will make signs at the Greenwood Space Travel Supply Co. At 4:00PM we will take our signs to the street, marching around Greenwood Avenue and chanting things like, “Hey hey, ho ho, the IAU has got to go!” and “Science is wrong; Pluto belongs!” At 4:20PM we will join our students in the Great Pluto Debate at 826 Seattle. We'll enjoy tiny food, talk with like-minded folks, and share the love for our smallest planet.

This event is free and open to the public.

We are thrilled to team up with our neighbors down at Naked City to present the next series of How to Write Like I Do. As in years past we'll be inviting well-known local authors to teach us how (and why) they write what they do, but this year in the comfort of one of our favorite breweries: Naked City.

Our first workshop will be on Wednesday, February 13 from 5:30PM - 7:00PM, and led by Book-It Repertory Theatre: our friends who transform great literature into great theater. Jane Jones (Founder and Co-Artistic Director) and Kevin McKeon (adaptor of 'Anna Karenina') will join together in this interactive workshop to dispell their tricks: how do you adapt a novel into a compelling script for the stage? what is the writer/director relationship? how about the importance of collaboration?

Arrive early, order food, sip beer, and get ready...you're in for a treat. Tickets can be found here.

Oh, did we mention that participants receive a 25% discount at our Greenwood Space Travel Supply Company on the day of their workshop? It's true.

In September 2011 we were honored to be chosen by Consteallation Co. as the beneficiaries of a curated art exhibit called Cosmic Sans. The show, which featured 26 original pieces by 24 local artists, included a silent auction that raised over $1,000 for 826 Seattle. Woohoo! We are so grateful. Check out the incredible pieces here.
