After-School Tutoring

We offer tutoring, homework help and writing enrichment clubs throughout the school year. Trained volunteers, many of whom are professional writers, are here to help with individual writing projects and all kinds of homework including math, sciences, and foreign languages.

After-School Tutoring

Come to write, read, and research. Yes, we are a writing center, but we also typically have math tutors on site during drop-in tutoring sessions, and we try to accommodate the sciences, foreign languages, and other academic needs.

We offer two sessions Monday-Thursday throughout the school year based on the calendar of Seattle Public Schools. The last day of tutoring for the 2012-2013 school year is Thursday, June 14th. Tutoring will resume in early September.

All-ages tutoring and homework help:
Monday-Thursday, 3-6 p.m.

HIGH SCHOOL ONLY:
Monday-Thursday, 6-8 p.m.
If you are in 8th grade or high school, come on by!

Oh, there are other reasons to stop by

Students can also join us if they simply need a welcoming place to do homework, to read a book, use our computers for internet research, or work on their own writing projects (perhaps for publication in an 826 Seattle anthology or the Student Work section of our web site).

During the all-ages tutoring sessions, students are welcome to participate in our daily clubs such as pen-pals, mythology and song-writing.

High school students can expect to find enthusiastic tutors, experts in advanced math, sciences and languages.  Throughout the year, there are opportunities to get help with SAT prep and college applications.
