We offer tutoring, homework help and writing enrichment clubs throughout the school year. Trained volunteers, many of whom are professional writers, are here to help with individual writing projects and all kinds of homework including math, sciences, and foreign languages. Please click here to read our F.A.Q.
Come for help with homework, to write, read, and research. Yes, we are a writing center, but we also have math tutors on site during tutoring sessions, and we try to accommodate the sciences, foreign languages, and other academic needs.
We offer tutoring Monday-Thursday throughout the school year based on the calendar of Seattle Public Schools. The tutoring registration form for the 2014 - 2015 school year is now available. We will let families know when we have received their registration, but are unable to inform families about their student’s enrollment days or wait list status until the end of August. New registration forms are required each school year for every student. The first day of tutoring for the 2014 - 2015 school year is Monday, September 8th.
1st - 8th GRADE TUTORING:
Monday - Thursday, 3:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.
Wait list registration is open.
HIGH SCHOOL TUTORING:
Monday - Thursday, 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
If you are in high school, dropping-in is okay.
Oh, there are other reasons to stop by
Students can also join us if they simply need a welcoming place to do homework, to read a book, use our computers for internet research, or work on their own writing projects (perhaps for future publication in a 826 Seattle anthology or the Student Work section of our web site!).
During 1st - 8th Grade Tutoring, students are welcome to participate in our daily clubs such as pen-pals, song-writing, and journalism.
High school students can expect to find enthusiastic tutors who are experts in advanced math, sciences and languages. Throughout the year, there are also opportunities to get help with SAT prep and college applications. SAT prep sessions are held on Wednesdays during High School Tutoring.
