11:00AM - 12:30 PM 826 SEATTLE WRITES THE RAIN PUBLISHING PARTY Listen to the authors read their work. Toast the publication with a jelly donut and some milk in a champagne glass.

1:00 - 2:00 PM READINGS Seattle poet laureate finalist Jared Leising and The Stranger writer Christopher Frizzelle as well as published authors and 826 Seattle volunteers, Ann Gonzalez and Deborah Reber.

2:30 - 3:00 PM CAKE EATING CONTESTS Two contests — one for kids and one for adults! Great prizes! (Like zoo passes, a GSTS gift certificate and more.)

3:00 - 4:00 PM SALON OF SHAME From their website: Seattleites stand before you and read their middle school diary passages, high school poetry, unsent letters, and other bits of horribly shameful, and inadvertently hilarious adolescent writing. Founded in 2005, the Salon is cathartic for readers and hilarious for listeners. Everybody wins when it comes to embarrassment!

4:15 - 4:30 PM VERY TINY FILM FEST

5:00 - 6:00 PM CENTRAL SERVICES BOARD OF EDUCATION One of our volunteer’s bands makes smart, funny tunes aimed at the wee ones. Check our their MySpace page.
